23/09/2008 Arsenal's youngest ever team took to the Emirates pitch in a 3rd Rd Carling Cup match with an average age of only 19 years old against Sheffield United and won 6-0. 19 year old Carlos Vela scored a hat trick on his first team debut and 16 year old Jack Wilshere became Arsenal's second youngest scorer after Cesc Fabregas. Nicklas Bendtner opened the scoring with the first two goals. Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski was Arsenal's oldest player at just 23
